Event Spotlight: Dallas Comic Show

Comic fans, sci-fi geeks, and nerds of all ages, rejoice! Geeky goodness of all kinds are coming to the Lone Star State. The Dallas Comic Show is a family-friendly event in the Dallas-Fort Worth area featuring exciting comic book and media guests, costumed characters, gaming and Anime content. The event will be held at the Irving Convention Center on February 11-12, 2017.

Stars from film and TV alike aplenty will be in attendance. The roster includes The Flash‘s John Wesley Shipp and Supergirl on The CW‘s Helen Slater, Nick Stahl (Sin City), Gil Gerard & Erin Grey (Buck Rogers in the 25th Century), Kathy Najimy (King of the Hill), Hacksaw Jim Duggan (WWF), and Alexis Cruz (Stargate). Many of these stars will be available for Q&A sessions in addition to photo ops.

Comic Artists

DCS sports a large roster of talented comic book writers and artists. Some of the featured artists include Adam Hughes (Wonder Woman), Neal Adams (Batman), Phil Jimenez (Superwoman), Nick Derington (Doom Patrol), Kevin Nowlan (Green Lantern), Cully Hamner (Blue Beetle), Cat Staggs (Orphan Black), James O’ Barr (The Crow) and Laura Martin (Wonder Woman).

Cosplay Guests

Cosplay pros include Jennifer Van Damsel, Mcubed Cosplay, Clever Fangirl, Krystle Star, Jacob Long, and the 501st Garrison. Heroic Inner Kids will be on hand to provide guidance on cosplaying community awareness. The Bluesmobile from the Blues Brothers and Mach 5 from Speed Racer will also be available for photo ops.

Exclusives & Trivia

One of the exclusives is from DC Comics, an exclusive for VIP customers. Every VIP will receive a Doom Patrol print by attending artist Nick Derington, which he will sign at the show! This is a Dallas Comic Show exclusive you won’t be able to get anywhere else.

Six of the artists in attendance are contributors to the Love is Love, a 144 page comic book with 100% of the profits benefiting those affected by the deadly attack at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando Florida.
